Call (803) 739-4048 Show All News Superintendent's Message The safety of students and employees is our top priority as we open our new school year. Our students are beginning the year with a choice of two instruction models -- a full-time Virtual Academy program and a hybrid/blended approach of 2 days in school and 3 days remotely, which reduces capacities in our schools and facilities to maximize safe distancing. Our ultimate goal, though, is to move to 5-day, in-person instruction as quickly and as safely as possible, based on guidance and recommendations from a number of sources. Our 2020-21 Return to Schools Guide for Families offers a closer look at our instruction plans. We also have a wealth of information on our district and school websites about new policies and procedures for our "new normal" amid COVID-19, including health and safety measures on buses and in our schools and facilities; mask requirements for all of our students and employees; new attendance standards for hybrid and virtual students; nurse guidance and DHEC case protocols; and much more. We appreciate the support we've received from our families and communities over the past many months, as we navigate these unprecedented times. Dr. William B. James Jr. Superintendent REFLECTING ON 2019-20 While our focus is on the new school year ahead, there is much to be proud of from the 2019-20 school year -- including keeping the learning going with eLearning and continuing to provide free breakfast/lunch meals to students throughout spring and summer. Here are a few other accomplishments. Lexington Two ranks among the top 10 SC public school districts earning the highest average scores on the SAT college-entrance exam. Lexington Two’s Class of 2019 test-takers outperformed state and national averages.
